    Dear Kia,

So it turns out the theif/original killer of myself, Uncle Ben, is returning for Spiderman 4… what could this mean? Especially considering what happened in the 3rd movie which they completely stuffed the story of.

    Uncle Ben, deceased at 65

    Dear Uncle Ben,

Great to see heaven has the internet and hasn’t got webfiltering on all the profanity in my site!  Well, I can understand that you might be upset about your killer being in the new movie because he will gain more publicity than you, but as is always the case, the villain usually gets more coverage than the victim… Unless it’s A Current Affair.

I think Dennis, your sort-of maybe but not really accidental murderer is back because his story, although stuffed, has room for extension, plus he’s a familiar villain the producers can use as a calling card for non-comic fans who liked the movies to be drawn into the story again.  It also means that they can do flash-backs during Spiderman 4 and extend the length of the film and bring a bit of meaning to it all seeing as the main storyline for Spiderman has already been told so any future movies are basically going to be a parade of various villains, their story lines and them being defeated or turned good with Spidey trying to hold down two girlfriends, Gwen and MJ….  Can anyone say CASH IN?!!  I can certainly type it in capitals.

Despite my criticism, I am SO excited about watching it in 2011!  I really hope they pull it off and we get to see Carnage and Chameleon and maybe Mysterio if his jokes aren’t as lame in the movies as they were in the PS2 game…

SO in answer to your question, what could that mean that Dennis is coming back in SM4?  Simply this: he’s there as a familiar villain to draw people into the movies for a 4th installment, stuffed story line or no.  Chicks will want to find out whether his daughter is okay and guys will want to see some more of that awesome sand biffing action.  BRING IT ON!!!

    xo Kia
